TOXICOLOGY TECHNICIAN

IMMEDIATELY SEEKING LC-MS/MS LAB TECHNICIAN to plan, organize, and
lead laboratory services in the designated specialty or shift to meet requirements of all accrediting agencies including CLIA, CAP, and COLA.

Perform routine Laboratory duties utilizing established protocol and procedures, which include setting up specimens and conducting Laboratory tests where range of possible results is limited.

Toxicology Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine and difficult sample analysis, LC-MS/MS analysis using analytical techniques, and processing and reviewing toxicology data accurately and efficiently following laboratory procedures. Additionally, the Toxicology Quality Specialist is competent in a specific area of technical expertise, such as LC-MS/MS, Analyst and MultiQuant software.

Duties involve:
– Maintenance, troubleshoot, AB Sciex LCMS 3200,analyzer and other equipment as needed
-Following the SOPS and documenting important information
-Understanding and managing Methodologies for testing procedures
-Performs sample collection using urine drug screening chain of custody procedures.
-Follows appropriate collection, shipping, and documentation procedures for lab results.
-Communicates daily with clinical staff and Lab Manager.
-Understands and maintains confidentiality of client information and results in accordance with      HIPAA guidelines.
-Takes inventory and maintains appropriate level of supplies and materials.
-Interprets standard curve and patient results.
-Interprets Daily QC on analyzer.
-Records and reports weekly numbers related to collections or quality management.
-Communicates effectively with facility staff and manager.
-Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
– 1-year Mass Spectrometry Experience Required.

-Proficient in Analyst and MultiQuant software.

-Experience as a Lab technician.

-Clinical specimen collection and processing experience preferred.

-Able to navigate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel Powerpoint, Outlook).

-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while

complying with company policies and procedures.

-Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, and clients is essential.

Highly Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological
or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an
accredited institution and have at least one year of lab training or
experience in toxicology high complexity testing.

Experience with a Chemistry analyzer and/or LCMS/MS machine PREFERRED
