Radiation Oncologist
Job Summary
Riceland Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary cancer care team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient-centered care, demonstrate clinical excellence, and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver advanced radiation therapy treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose patients requiring radiation therapy.
- Develop individualized radiation treatment plans in collaboration with medical physicists and dosimetrists.
- Oversee and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Conduct regular patient follow-ups to assess treatment progress and manage side effects.
- Collaborate with surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
- Participate in tumor board meetings and case discussions.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and quality assurance procedures.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, expectations, and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within the EMR system.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the oncology department.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the state of Texas.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience with advanced radiation systems and treatment modalities preferred.

Pay: From $375,000.00 per year
