Radiation Oncologist

Job Summary

Riceland Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiation Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary cancer care team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient-centered care, demonstrate clinical excellence, and collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver advanced radiation therapy treatments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose patients requiring radiation therapy.
  • Develop individualized radiation treatment plans in collaboration with medical physicists and dosimetrists.
  • Oversee and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct regular patient follow-ups to assess treatment progress and manage side effects.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
  • Participate in tumor board meetings and case discussions.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, expectations, and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within the EMR system.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the oncology department.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology.
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license (or eligibility) in the state of Texas.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with advanced radiation systems and treatment modalities preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $375,000.00 per year
