Nurse Practitioner, Internal Medicine

Job Summary

Riceland Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Internal Medicine to join our team in Winnie, TX. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to adult and elderly patients with acute and chronic medical conditions in an outpatient and/or inpatient setting. This role focuses on comprehensive patient management, preventive care, and coordination with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical exams and health assessments.
  • Diagnose and manage common and complex internal medicine conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, respiratory illnesses).
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as labs, X-rays, and EKGs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and follow up with patients regularly.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle changes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and specialists for coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly.
  • Provide support in chronic disease management and medication titration.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program (Family or Adult-Gerontology NP)

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Current APRN license in Texas
  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP)
  • BLS and ACLS certification (required)
  • DEA registration (or eligible to obtain)

Experience:

  • 1–2 years of experience in Internal Medicine, Primary Care, or Adult Health preferred
  • New graduates with internal medicine clinical rotations encouraged to apply

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
