Mobile Collections Coordinator Job

Job Summary

The Mobile Collections Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing

mobile specimen collection operations. This role ensures compliance with safety

protocols, regulatory standards, and company policies while delivering exceptional service

to patients and clients. The coordinator manages scheduling, logistics, and staff

assignments to guarantee efficient and accurate specimen collection and timely transport

to the laboratory.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Coordination

o Schedule and organize mobile collections

o Ensure all necessary supplies, equipment, and PPE are available and

functional.

Specimen Collection Oversight

o Supervise and assist staff in collecting specimens (blood, urine, swabs)

following proper procedures.

o Verify accurate labeling, storage, and transport of specimens to maintain

integrity.

o Monitor compliance with infection control and biohazard safety standards.

Staff Management

o Assign tasks and provide guidance to mobile collection staff.

Client & Patient Interaction

o Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and

addressing concerns.

o Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries

Documentation & Reporting

o Maintain accurate records of collections, staff schedules, and inventory

usage.

o Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on mobile operations and specimen

counts.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

o Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and state regulations.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in phlebotomy or

medical assisting preferred.

Experience: Minimum 1–2 years in specimen collection, phlebotomy, or healthcare

operations; supervisory experience is a plus.

Skills:

o Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

o Proficiency in handling biohazard materials and PPE.

o Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and adapt to changing schedules.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 – $16.00 per hour
