Medical Oncologist

Overview

Riceland Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary cancer care team. This role provides expert oncology care to patients with solid tumor and hematologic malignancies and supports coordinated, evidence-based treatment planning in collaboration with radiation oncology, surgery, imaging, pharmacy, and infusion services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat oncology patients across a variety of cancer types
  • Develop individualized treatment plans including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care
  • Monitor treatment response, manage toxicity, and adjust care plans as needed
  • Provide patient education on diagnosis, treatment options, side effects, and symptom management
  • Participate in tumor board and multidisciplinary case discussions
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and oncology program development

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • BC/BE in Medical Oncology (or Hematology/Oncology, as applicable)
  • Active Texas medical license (or eligible for licensure)
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and team collaboration
  • DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
  • BLS required (ACLS preferred, as applicable)

Pay: $375,000.00 – $550,000.00 per year
