Certified Nursing Assistant Job Opening
Job Purpose
A Certified Nursing Assistant, or Certified Nursing Aide, is responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Their duties include helping patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene, feeding patients or ensuring they take their medication and assessing their patients’ vital signs to notify staff of any changes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Turning or moving patients.Gathering medical supplies.Bathing patients. Grooming patients by brushing their hair, teeth, shaving them, etc. Feeding patients and documenting their food and liquid intake.Checking vital signs such as blood pressure and heart rate. Skills & Abilities
Attention to detail Verbal and written communication Interpersonal Record-keeping Knowledge of medical terminology. Understanding of common disorders. Proper hygiene. Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminologyKnowledge of relevant nursing care. Friendly and professional bedside manner Maintains current CPR certification, Multi-tasking skills Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills Understands legal implications of patient care.
